Chris Tingley: 2007 Camper of the Year
Chris has attended the Children's Burn Camp since he was eight years old. He remembers his first time there, and being homesick almost every night. Now after seven summers, he counts down the days every year until camp.
Last February, Chris traveled to Belize with Carolin (2006 Camper of the Year) to visit their friend and counselor, Paul. They had an amazing time, and cannot wait to go again. This month, Chris is hosting a Swiss exchange student for two weeks, and is then spending two weeks in Switzerland in April.
This year, Chris started his junior year at Natick High School. Chris lives in Natick, MA with his brother, sister and parents. His brother, Brian is 14 and in 8th grade, and his sister, Megan is 12 and in 6th grade. His dad owns an electrical company, named "Tingley Electric.”
Chris enjoys swimming, and swims year round competitively. He is the captain of the Natick High Varsity Swim Team, and has lettered since his freshman year.
Chris is honored to be the Camper of the Year. He is privileged to travel to Washington D.C. with the Counselor of the Year, Bruce Toth, to represent the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation at the National Burn Camp.
