I was born and raised in Westchester County, NY and was the second of four children. While Dad was helping people as a chiropractor, Mom was home to run day-to-day operations. As with most siblings, there was a fair amount of bickering and arguing, but for the most part we got along — usually out of self-preservation.
Honesty, compassion, respect, and loyalty were values that we were not only taught but witnessed on a daily basis. Growing up with three siblings and a bunch of cousins certainly kept things fun and interesting. As a kid, through my high school and college years, and now into my adult life, I think I did
a pretty good job of continuing to keep things fun and interesting. I can’t say my path was the straightest, but I am proud of where it has led me.
I began my career as a firefighter at the early age of 30 (which just happens to be the age limit for my department). I was hired by the city of Yonkers, New York in 2013. Currently I am assigned to Ladder 74 at station 4, which is one of the busiest fire houses in Yonkers. I always try to bring a positive attitude to
work, and apply those values from childhood on a daily basis in all the situations I find myself in.
I live in Stormville, New York with my wonderful wife Casey and our 2 children; Noel (5) and Joey (3). My hobbies include snowboarding, motorcycling and playing with the kids! I was introduced to our camp at a fundraiser. After talking with former campers and some staff I decided to put an application in and have never looked back. It was one of the best decisions that I have made. Camp is an unbelievable place, and I am lucky to be a part of it.
